good day

Papa's surgery went really well today. The doctor's said that he did great and they removed all of the blockage. SHEW - Thank the Lord!!!
He'll be in the hospital tonight and as long as he can get up tomorrow and walk around and stuff he'll be released.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! Our family is truly blessed with amazing friends.

Papa's surgery

My grandpa is having surgery at 8:00 am tomorrow morning on an artery in his neck. He has 85 - 90% blockage in that artery so the doctor's got him in pretty quick to get it corrected.
He should only have to spend one night in the hospital so that's good!

Just wanted to update everyone - please continue to keep our family in your prayers.

whomp there it is

This weekend we celebrated Mike's bday (father in law) in Arlington. It was fun....Julie and I had a great time hanging out with the fam. Saturday Mike opened presents which is always a blast. He wanted a blue ray dvd player.....he got that and much more. Jon did some research and figured you could actually buy a play station 3 for as much as you could a simple blue ray player.....so - he got a PS3. I was excited for him.....and myself as well. Hopefully he'll be nice enough to share playing time when we're around - haha. Watch - next time Jon or I go to Arlington he's going to a video game whiz and kick all our butts.
Texas de Brazil was great again - ate way to much again - but it was awesome.
Best Buy was great - all 3 times we went this weekend to get stuff for the PS3....I could spend hours in that store and rack up a HUGE bill - but I refrained.
We were sad to leave but glad to get home.

Today - on a more serious note - I found out my grandpa (Papa) had a mild stroke yesterday. He went to the hospital this morning and will spend the night tonight and hopefully get out tomorrow. Everything looks good so far and they're putting together the treatment plan so it doesn't happen again. We're waiting on 1 more set of test results before they're letting him go home. Mom said he's doing good and that he started complaining about the coffee and wanting to go home this morning - so that's a good sign:)
Please keep him, Sugar (grandma), and our family in your prayers!

That's all I have for now - hasta luego

wow

Good times had by all this weekend.
Jeff and I went to the gun show on Saturday - I hate going to those places because I find a lot of stuff I want to buy. Had a great time though. One of these days I want to get my handgun license but was thinking it might be hard to conceal a handgun since I have to tuck my shirts in and what not. I realize there are options...like an ankle holster etc but they aren't as fun as my next idea....executive style pants with a built in holster. There is only one thing I have found (actually Jeff found it) which is spandex type boxers with a built in holster. They're awesome but I think it'd be cool to have some of my very own pants with a holster. Just an idea - make it happen - haha
Saturday night we went to Beehive with some work buddies for Garrett's bday. We had a blast and the food was great. Julie got lamb which neither one of us has ever had....it was amazing. Then we went back to the Rasor's house for cake and Wii.

Sunday I had another lazy day of eating and watching football...Was extremely disappointed in the Cowboys but I'm trying to get over it so that's all i'm going to say.

Tomorrow it's back to work...We've been really....really busy because we had another rep quit so it's just me and Billy manning a huge chunk of Texas. Great for us and our pocket books but busy none the less.

I hope everyone is having a great new year - We sure are.

happy new year

I can't believe it's already 2008. Last year flew by and A LOT has changed.
Got married, Got a puppy, Julie got a new job, I got a new job, moved to Abilene, Julie got a new job, and now we're here!
We're looking forward to a great 2008....2007 is going to be hard to beat!!

We went to the ranch last weekend for Christmas with the Walkers. It was so much fun.
I shot a doe Saturday night - field dressed it - which I found out I am not very good at.
Jon shot a huge 6 point and a doe Sunday morning.

The entire family came back to Abilene on Sunday so Jon and Grandma Frosty could see our house. We went to Fuji's for dinner and had a grand old time.
Jon, myself, and yes - even Mike caught shrimp from our cooker dude...it was funny.

Monday Julie got sick and went to the doctor on Tuesday.
We had a date night last night - ate at Copper Creek and it was awesome.
Julie got a steak, and I got catfish, shrimp, crawfish, and lobster bisque.
We both had amazing desserts - mine was 7 layer chocolate cake. Needless to say we (well I) was miserable walking out of there.
When we got home, I ended up getting the same stuff Julie had so we were sick together - not so cute.

So, being the old married couple we are, we watched a movie....Julie went to bed around 11:30 and I went to be about 12:15....I barely made it to New Years - but at least I made it.

We're down to 2 reps in the Abilene and San Angelo market so that means Billy and I will be extremely busy over the next few months - which is a great thing. More money and business for us - yeah boy!!!!

Any who - everyone enjoy their day off. I'm going to be lazy and watch Football while Julie is shopping (not much has changed in the 9 months we've been married ;)
